On April 16, 2025, a phone rang at the Calcasieu Correctional Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The caller identified himself as a local judge and ordered that the bond for inmate Demond Lynn Delahoussaye Sr. be reduced to "released on recognizance". A staff member complied, and by June, Delahoussaye walked out a free man.
