All Saints Day - the saints burned with love for God but were not consumed - Canon Mark Chamberlain

All Christians are saints because the Holy Spirit dwells in us but far from suffocating our personalities, God leads us to fullness of life. As Moses saw the bush burning but it was not consumed, so God fills us with his light and the fire of his love but does not consume us. In fact many of the great saints who are the heroes or heroines of faith, were very ‘colourful characters'!
