All the Shade: COLORISM
from H.E.E.L.S. the podcast Hosted by H.E.E.L.S.
We’ve heard the sayings in mainstream media "the darker the berry the sweeter the juice", or "it ain’t right if it ain’t light". The truth: sayings and attitudes like these perpetuate the Colorism problem. In this episode we explore the topic of colorism including : what it is, whether we experienced it or had a part to play in the problem, and how to identify and be an advocate against it. I must say: this one is a bit shady- however, we love them all.
