Allan and the Holy Flower Chapter 14 - The Kalubi's Oath

In which the white lords are received as honoured guests by the Pongo people, yet find themselves bound in a web of ominous superstition involving a dreadful ape-god, a mysterious white woman called the Mother of the Holy Flower, and a deadly succession of Kalubis. In solemn counsel with their fearful host, they weigh peril against hope, resolve to probe deeper despite the shadow of ritual sacrifice, and ponder the troubled souls and strange customs of a dying tribe caught between gods and devils.
