Allan Quatermain Chapter 3 - The Mission Station

In which our weary travellers, buffeted by relentless rain and Masai threats, at last reach the sanctuary of a well-kept mission station perched high upon a verdant slope beneath the shadow of an immense pine tree. Here, amidst lush gardens and guarded walls, they encounter the kindly missionary Mr Mackenzie and hear of mysterious white inhabitants purported to dwell far to the north, their tale perplexing and intriguing in equal measure.
