Its a difficult issue to tackle from my position as a white obstetrician, but I wanted to as its far too important a topic to ignore.Grace, a midwife I work with has started her ' Brown Mama, Brown me' podcast to share the personal maternity experiences of 'Brown women' and of 'Brown' maternity staff, as fellow podcasters we got chatting. The result is this joint episode , a fascinating opportunity to share ideas and talk about the challenges we face. Moving forward I hope I prove a useful ally as she brings her ideas about raising awareness to fruition.
