Send us Fan MailMost any of us that have been on the Ole Miss Campus in the Gulf Coast state of Mississippi most likely fell in love with the sweet, syrupy, Southern charm of the campus and students. Bubbly and fun Ally Kostial fell in love  with everything about her first choice for college, from her classes in marketing and fashion, to enjoying golf, fitness, and her sorority. The 21-year-old rising senior was also in love with the idea of marrying a Southern gentleman and building a life with someone who would enjoy family, sunsets, and college nightlife as much as she did.  Ally thought she found the perfect partner in Brandon Theesfeld, a fellow University of Mississippi student and smooth-talking young man who enjoyed throwing his doctor daddy’s money around and seemed to always skate out of trouble. That is until Ally’s lifeless body was found on July 20, 2019, shot multiple times near Sardis Lake in northern Mississippi. Theesfeld was unable to talk his way out of a murder charge after authorities quickly unraveled his flimsy alibi and discovered he tricked Ally into coming with him to the lake and that Ally’s murder followed their breakup and Brandon’s outrage when he thought she might be pregnant. The case drew national attention because both were college students and it highlighted issues of dating violence and obsessive behavior in young relationships. Join us for the latest, unbelievably sad yet familiar episode of the Gulf Coast Confidential Podcast “Ally Kostial loved pink, pearls, Ole Miss and her boyfriend and it killed her.” Support the show
