Ally: Only you can do it

Today Ally called in with her story about learning to skateboard and the life lessons that she has learned from taking on this new endeavor. When you are learning something new like skateboarding, you are out in public so people get a front row seat in watching you fall, look silly and all your vulnerabilities are on full display. But anyone who learns how to embrace the beginners mindset and not let it prevent them from moving forward with their new activity gets the benefit, enjoyment and bliss of learning a new skill.The harder the activity the more rewarding it is when you start to build understanding and knowledge behind what you are doing. Ally is a comedian and the act of learning how to skateboard has helped improve her craft of getting on stage and not worry as much when she isn’t landing - she has learned how to get back up and try again.
