Alpine Heat Revolution

Valais, a mountainous canton in the heart of the Swiss Alps, is experiencing a true revolution in residential heating with the growing adoption of heat pumps. Facing long, cold winters, residents are seeking heating solutions that are both efficient and environmentally friendly.Heat pumps represent an ideal response to these requirements. By exploiting calories present in outdoor air, soil or groundwater, they produce up to four times more energy than they consume. This remarkable efficiency makes them a wise choice for Valais homeowners keen to control their energy bills. The canton of Valais actively supports this ecological transition. Generous subsidies are granted for heat pump installations as part of the cantonal renewable energy incentive programme. This financial assistance makes the initial investment more accessible and accelerates the return on investment. The geological conditions in Valais also favour the use of geothermal heat pumps. The Alpine subsoil, rich in thermal resources, allows excellent performance to be achieved even during the coldest periods. Many specialised installers now support individuals with their projects, from feasibility studies to maintenance.By choosing heat pumps, Valais residents contribute to Switzerland's energy strategy while enhancing the value of their property. For more information and practical details about installation and subsidies, visit https://pompeachaleurvalais.ch/
