ALS (A Life Stolen): An Interview with Craig Anderson
from ALL THERE IS · host Kelly Bargabos
Craig Anderson was a 58-year-old man living his life, planning for his future, thinking he had more time to do the things he wanted to do, when he was unexpectedly diagnosed with ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. ALS is a progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease with no cure. It robs people of the ability to walk, talk, and eventually breathe. There’s no cure and no real treatment. Military veterans are twice as likely to get it. Since 2001, ALS has taken the lives of more veterans than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. There are approximately 35,000 people living with ALS in the US today. In this episode, Craig shares his journey and the lessons he's learned so far while facing this relentless and horrific disease.Send us Fan MailGet your copy of Loving Lavender Finch anywhere books are sold.
