Alter Ego 43: Alt Twitter

“Alt Twitter” has taken the internet by storm in the last few months in the wake of Trump administrations crackdown on the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA’s) sharing of scientific data regarding climate change. Mysterious scientists, environmentalists, and citizens concerned with honesty and transparency have acted in response by creating a wave of “Alt” twitter accounts for organizations, including NSF, EPA, National Parks, State Parks, and many more science based government agencies demanding freedom of scientific information to the public. Today we hear from Adrien (a pseudonym) from Alt CA State Parks. Adrien represents only one of the many Alt Twitter Accounts, and though there is still concern over revealing her identity, her willingness to share her perspective puts a voice behind the tweets that have been causing such a stir in the government, and our nation.
