She is the author of two poetry chapbooks: Not of Their Own Making (dancing girl press, 2014) and Shift (Plan B Press). She serves as the Book Reviews Editor at The Los Angeles Review, a literary journal from Red Hen Press. Alyse is also a PhD candidate in Literary Studies & Creative Writing at the U of Kansas, where she is a 2017-2018 Richard & Jeannette Sias Fellow in the Humanities, and will be in residence at the Hall Center for the Humanities Fall 2017.
