Am I Accepted by God? | Terms & Conditions | Acts 3:11-26 | with Pastor Joshua Sanders

from Christ Community Church (Brazil, IN) · host mycccbrazil

In our modern world today, something that nearly everyone does on a routine basis is accept these things that are called “terms & conditions.” A Terms and Conditions agreement is where you let the public know the terms, rules and guidelines for using your services. We accept Terms and Conditions when we do things such as download Facebook, create an email account, sign up for a streaming service such as Netflix, or start up a service with a company. A new Deloitte survey found that over 90% of consumers accept legal terms and conditions without reading them. Now, when it comes to God, there are people out there that say, “God accepts you just as you are.” But this isn’t true. Why? Well, if God accepts us as we are, then why did Jesus have to die? If we say, 'God accepts us as we are', then the terms & conditions to our salvation would be God’s unconditional acceptance of us. To correct this lie, God does find us where we are, but he does not accept us as we are. Now there are also “terms & conditions” for us to be accepted by God. So, what are those terms & conditions? In this sermon we dive into Acts 3:11-26. Last week we saw the healing of a lame man. Today, we will see that a crowd formed around the healed man, and it led Peter to preach another sermon. What we will see are the terms & conditions for us to be accepted by God, which is the first step to GET AFTER IT for the expanding of the Kingdom of God. We cannot expand a Kingdom that we are not accepted in. But thank God, God makes a way for us to be accepted. We just have to accept His terms & conditions.
