Marissa chats to Sharvesh Leatchmanan, the co-founder of Minority Voices (@minorityvoices) – a platform that shares personal stories of racism and prejudice against minorities in Singapore. They chat about why it's so important to understand how race can affect everyone differently – from the beauty standards we're all subjected to, to the sense of 'otherness' it can make someone feel in their own home – and why all of us need to care. And of course, we work out how we can all be better allies, by using whatever privilege we do have to offer a voice for the unheard, demonstrate our solidarity, and create a more inclusive society overall!
