Amanda Kay Jones - A Mother Missing

from A Pine for True Crime Hosted by A Pine for True Crime

On 8/14/2005, 26 year old Amanda Jones set off for a meeting with the man she claimed fathered her unborn son at a local civic center club. After speaking with her former sister in law at around 1:15 PM, Amanda went silent. And has remained so for the last 17 years. Fox 2 St. Louis series mentioned in episode: https://youtu.be/LYzZfJdU31M St. Louis FBI 314-589-2500 Jefferson County Sheriff's Office 636-797-5515 Socials Instagram - APineforTrueCrime TikTok - dustivibes [email protected] Update - on September 7 2022, a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Amanda's family in October 2021 was granted dismissal by Jefferson County Circuit Judge Brenda Stacey. Kim Rensing, a co-counselor for Westfall, had the following to say within their motion for dismissal: “Despite the plaintiffs’ speculations to the contrary, no evidence has ever been discovered or provided to make any sufficient connection to support any criminal charges against Mr. Westfall regarding Amanda Jones’ disappearance and purported death. Nothing has occurred in the last 16 years to change that fact. If the plaintiffs were so convinced of the cause of Amanda Jones’ death, they should have filed a claim for wrongful death by Aug. 14, 2008, three years after the accrual of the cause.”
