While working with the largest non-profit addiction treatment provider, Amara saw the relief of families who finally found the best-fit treatment approach after often wasting years of time and treasure. Vowing not to waste her experience which combined treatment and legal expertise with a trusted professional network, Amara was inspired to create a team of advisors who share her passion and commitment to creating the most efficient strategies. She also is a national speaker on topics including parent coaching, communication skills, and mental health and dependency education. Amara is former Chair of the Dallas Bar Association's Peer Assistance Committee and Highland Park ISD’s Parent Education Committee. She founded Dallas One Love, a non-profit raising awareness about the warning signs of relationship abuse; and a member of the CARE committee. In addition to certification for screening, brief interventions, and referral to treatment (SBIRT), Amara received her law and masters in business degrees from the University of Richmond after graduating from the University of Virginia.M2 delivers real talk on solutions to addiction, alcoholism, and unmanageable habits.
