Amazed By His Word

In Day 6 of this Good Morning LIVE series through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor James Epperly teaches on the authority of Jesus’ Word and the danger of becoming too familiar with holy things. When Jesus entered the synagogue in Capernaum, the people were astonished because He taught with authority and not as the scribes. His words carried weight, life, truth, and power. This teaching is a call to recover fresh wonder, fresh hunger, and fresh expectation every time we open the Word of God. If you’ve ever felt spiritually dull, distracted, or overly familiar with Scripture, this message will encourage you to pray again: “Lord, open my eyes.” A familiar verse can still carry a fresh word when your heart is open.
