Amazon Prime Settlement Explained | Savannah News
from Savannah News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Amazon just paid $2.5 billion to settle FTC charges that it made it too easy to sign up for Prime but nearly impossible to cancel — with $1.5 billion going directly to affected U.S. customers. If you were a Prime member between June 2019 and June 2025, got signed up accidentally, or struggled to cancel (and used 4–9 benefits), you might be eligible for up to $51. The FTC is sending notices — you’ll need that claim ID and PIN to file online (no SSN or login needed, and it’s free). Deadline to file: July 27. Payments expected later this year.
