Memory Verse: "‭Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, ..." - 2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV Bible Text: Matthew 6:10 KJV 10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. INSPIRATION: An ambassador is a diplomat of the highest rank who is accredited to represent his or her country internationally. He has the full authority and backing of the home country he is representing in a foreign land. The powers he has in a foreign land are executive, like the powers of the president of the country he represents. When he speaks, it is as if his nation's president is the one speaking. Paul calls us Christ's ambassadors, that is, we represent Christ here on earth. What this implies is, as Christ is, so are we in this world (1 John 4: 17). Why are we Christ's ambassadors? So we can enforce His kingdom and determine that His will prevails on earth, Matthew tells us (Matt. 6:10). Two key traits you're to exhibit as Christ's ambassadors are love (1 John 4: 7-8), and light (Matthew 5: 14-16) The embassy within which an ambassador operates is the seat of power, and the laws prevalent at that embassy are those of the home base, and not those of the country it is domiciled. This means you're to enforce the rules of heaven where you are. Your domain is Christ's embassy and you're His ambassadorial representative with a mandate to bring about the operations of the kingdom of God until the kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of our God and His Christ (Rev. 11: 15). TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭Life will always challenge you at the level of your knowledge or ignorance. Knowing this, you must be sensitive to the inner operations of the Holy Spirit, so you can at all times superimpose and enforce the will of God's kingdom on earthly experiences. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me clarity of understanding as to the nature and scope of my mandate as a kingdom ambassador, and help me to fully exercise Christ's authority within my spheres of operation, to Your own glory, in Jesus name.
