AMBER MONROE as Mary Johnson Soprano Amber Monroe makes her Seattle Opera debut in the role of Mary Johnson, Tim’s friend and Hawk’s colleague in FELLOW TRAVELERS. In her florid Act Two aria she expresses the warm, protective love she feels for Tim, whose heart—Mary knows—will inevitably be broken by Hawk. “I worry—that’s all—about you, Timmy. I know him well—and there are times I wish I didn’t know him so well, if you know what I mean. He’s “wonderful,” you’re right about that. But he’s a certain kind of wonderful, Timmy. I’ve seen all the people and patterns.
