Amber O’Rourke & Lauryn Webster - Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach -24/8/2026

Amber O’Rourke attended Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach and did her Leaving Cert this year. Amber suffered from a stroke when she was in just Senior Infants in Primary School, it left her paralysed on one side of her body. She went through a very long recovery process including a kidney transplantLauryn was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2022 and is still undergoing chemotherapy. She has been sick through most of her senior cycle but has overcame a lot to remain positive and attend school through it all, completing her leaving cert this year which went very well also.  They both talk to Brian about their experiences
