Welcome again to another episode of the Amberville City Heroes. I am your Game Mustard Happy Pughat and with me today I've got four lovely contestants ready to play their heroes in our podcast. I've got... Wurky Jeezel.
I like long walks on the beach. I've got... Shamalemitingdong. I eat egg sandwiches.
What's that? I got the high five man himself, Jay Meister. I don't want to date anyone, leave me alone. I've got Jam-Abley.
I like turtles. Perfect. Jam's Maddy's been off for a couple of episodes, but him back. Also if you notice in these episodes, James has already been drunk.
He's been drinking witches brew since six o'clock. It's delicious. Alright. And now I have some witches brew.
It's Hot Wine. Um, Wine.com. Wine.com. Wine.com.
Backslash. Butt fuck crush these guts. Daddy. Daddy.
Daddy. Yeah. That's semi-colon daddy. Didn't know we'd get there that quickly.
We are there guys. Alright. So who wants to describe what happened on the last episode of Amberville City Heroes? I don't.
I don't know where my notes are. I'll just describe my hospital dream. Yeah. Let's try to happen to James first.
Because he was gone for two episodes. What happened to James? Did you get beat up? I think so.
It all went dark. So dark. It's so cold. It's so cold.
Right, girl. It should be the correct stuff with you. Someone could blink it on you and beat you with a bar. So it's like a bar.
So it turns out to be a bar. So yeah, like in a sock. Or the Roman treatment. Or there's a monkey and like a wolf.
What the fuck are you talking about? I'll see you throwing it in a river. Alright, let's move on. Who wants to describe for us what happened last time on Amberville City Heroes?
James got beat up by a multiple villain. It was hard to fight. So we had to take him to superhero medicine. And then he got one nap.
Sure. Okay, so what actually happened in the last episode? We've got a bunch of things going on. We've got query investigating a house full of spooky wizards.
We've got obscurity falling in love with the blob that lives in the sewer. He's not Fran. You go every day. I mean.
That's what friends do. If there's each other. Every single day. Every single day.
Every single day. Every single. Every move you make. Every step you take.
I'm going to be right next to you. I'm going to be in the brownies. What happened next? Let's see, you were working on trying to impersonate cricket which wizard was.
Yeah, query is got a prisoner that's like an old guy that studies magic. I don't know if he does magic. So much as cuts himself and gets shit all over the walls. But that led query to Lapis where they investigated the Union Heroes.
No, not the Union Heroes. Sorry, what's the name? Pare Corns, pare Corns, jesters. And then found that the villain underground had taken a bunch of shit from their trophy room.
We don't know that it was a villain underground but there's another show. She's subscribed to this one. There's a podcast, too. Yeah.
And Queries Clifting I believe was reaching out to that guest family. Yeah, you talked to the son and said, your dad's so wide, why don't you check him out and you said I guess so. Yeah. So then while Queries doing this, obscurity and wayfarer were investigating a series of break-ins and in a toy store where the same thing kept missing over and over again.
They snaked it out and figured out it's some sort of shadow lady, but she was a younger girl right? Wait a minute, 30s. Oh, okay. I got totally messed up there.
Then you two followed her into the shadow dimension. Yes. We are in her shadow house. And that's the real spooky cliffhanger.
There's a big spooky shadow zone. We're learning about the shadow house rules. Welcome to the shadow zone. Everything's dark.
You guys are burnt. Okay. So we'll open up on Grab Gal, you are awake and out of the hospital. They still have to wheel you to the door because it's hospital.
In a wheelchair. Yeah. It's hospital policy makers comfortable as possible. Yeah, all the way up to the curb.
I'm going to make the wheelchair as heavy as possible. All right. You make it orderly a little tired. He's like, fuck it all man.
Man girl, you dance. Do I have all my stuff that I had when I was in there? Yeah. All right.
I'm going to call my peeps. Or is anyone there to greet me? No. Man, what a bunch of dicks.
All right. Screw calling them. I'm just going to fly to the base that I remember. James, you got VW.
You weren't in a coma. I don't care. I'm still in a room. I don't know why I'm going to the base.
It's been three days. I don't know. I'm conscious. All right.
All right. Yeah. You fly to the base at the park. It's empty.
Currently empty. I mean, it's the base is still over. There's nobody there. All right.
I'll go in. You might look a little nicer since the last time. Oh, yeah. It looks like there's been worked on.
Oh, really? Yeah. Like anything noticeable. The walls look less like just concrete slabs and there's a computer indoors and windows.
A computer? Yeah. Nice. I'm going to call query because I know she's got all the money.
All right. You got a wringling of ding dong in your ear hole. Hello. Hello.
Good to hear you were in one piece. Yeah. I'm sure as to when you would do that. Yeah.
Are you okay? Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
I feel good. Okay. Well, the other two are tasting a robbery. I haven't heard from them in a minute and I'm out of time.
Okay. So you're welcome to come with me, but it's a lot of boring stuff. Whereas they, I think we're going to go fight somebody. We're more closer.
We're back in the game. Yeah. I'm going to tell you, I'm figuring out how to carefully transport a prisoner. That's not the one.
Yeah. I might need your help when it's happening. I don't know if you want to be involved in the planning process. All right.
Yeah. But if you need help, let me know. I can be there as a city. All right.
I'll call the others. All right. You get just interference. You don't get any reply from the other.
Do they have GPS locations on this? Is it a computer? No, not yet. What?
Okay. It doesn't play well for audio. No, no, no, I'm saying I'm telling you Alex, I have installed GPS in your communicators, whether or not they are aware of it. Okay.
All right. So yes, okay. There are and where does this map? Okay.
There are no signals from obscurity and affair. Okay. So it just does not phone. Yeah.
Okay. It's like searching. Is there a location? Yes.
It is where the toys are. Okay. I guess I'll go there. Okay.
You go to the toy store. Is it like? It's more like a mom and pop toy shop. Yeah.
We can log in. Are they open? Yeah. Yeah.
It's like it's early morning and they're just opening up. All right. And the owner sees you and says, Oh, we're going to go. Okay.
Or your friends inside or I think so. Yeah. Look, of course. Okay.
All right. There's nobody there. There's no one in here. No.
All right. And then we'll cut to Wayfair and obscurity. You are in the shadow world. Yes.
This lady dumps the teddy bear on the massive pile of teddy bears and says something like, Oh, I love this. It's almost his birthday. This. Hello.
We're inside with her. Yeah. Okay. And she's like walking around like you don't exist.
Okay. I'm going to check out the house. Okay. I'm going to use my powers to try to see if we're still in the same clean of existence.
Go for it. All right. I did good. I got four.
You see, you feel like you're in the same point of existence, but kind of like in a pocket world kind of like you're not in a different like alternate reality or like alternate history or anything like you're still connected to the reality you were on. You're just kind of in like a pocket world. All right. That's good.
I hate those pockets. Yeah. Did I go in here invisible? I'm assuming I did.
I'm going to turn offline visibility. I'm not going. And I'm wondering in a different way. You know, I'm going to be a little bit more than you.
I'm just going to turn offline. And I'm supposed to turn offline. Oh, she can't see me. I don't know why that means she can't hear me, but I'm going to do it anyway.
Right. No. She doesn't seem to be reacting. Okay.
Can I touch things. Yeah. We're trying to touch. I like the Teddy Bear file.
The teddy bear seems. Oh, yes. I can pick them up. I'm gonna start smelling out the word high on the ground.
Okay, what are you fed? I'm trying to figure out like what is going on with the weird lightness place. Okay. reverse light wise.
Like the colors are all kind of swapped around and where there's lightness, there's darkness. Like there's a lamp and it looks on, but it looks like the point of darkness everywhere. And like in the corners where there should be shadows, it's like lighter. That's weird.
Yes, but that's what you figure out. Okay. It seems like darkness is lightness here. All right.
Can I try to like reverse that? You can try, it's gonna be a strenuous, but you can try. Three. All right.
You use your powers to try to like manipulate light. A big portion of the house kind of like dissipates and then like mist around where you are. And then like as you stop using your power, like it all kind of forms back together slowly around you. Oh, security.
You're spelling high with the teddy bear. She comes into the room. She sees him. She goes, you know, he's making such a mess.
He starts picking them up, throwing them into a file. I'm gonna try to put them back down as soon as she picks them up. Okay. She seems to be getting frustrated.
Oh, she doesn't notice there's something odd. No. They're falling into a hello. She, yeah.
She's like in a weird state of delusion. It's irritating what you're doing to her. Okay. Well, I don't want to irritate her.
Okay. Nobody else is in the house. Doesn't appear to me. I'm gonna try to go outside the house.
Do you walk out of the front door and it's just endless darkness? There's no other houses. No, it just looks like endless void in front of you. Yeah, I'm gonna walk behind the house.
And that way. Okay. It just, it looks like the house is kind of like on this, like floating in the middle of darkness. Darkness in every direction.
Oh, floating. Yeah. That's creepy. I'll have it.
Okay. Wait for her. Am I getting anywhere? Um, you're able to manipulate the house.
You're getting a sense of like the energies here. Like you're getting more comfortable with it. There's a lot of weird energy. There's a whole lot of it.
Wow. And it seems to be emanating from her mostly. Like it's, it's stronger wherever she is. Okay.
Like, like you can just pay part of the house. We'll start coming back slowly, but she starts moving toward it. Like it comes back way faster. I try to mess with her.
How are you going to mess with her? Do that. Switchy do. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. Right. Okay.
Rolfa switchy do. All right. You go roll the three. All right.
You do a switchy do on her. Um, when you hit her with a switchy do it like she like yelps and surprise and just kind of poops in a smoke for a second and then like out of the house like she starts to reform again, but really slowly like out of the shadows. Cool. So she's kind of amorphous right now and like her voice is all garbled and security.
I'm going to go through her cupboards. Like she have food. Everything that's not an item that's been sold from the stores. Uh, like it looks like there's a box of something there, but when you try to reach for it's just like misty darkness.
Okay. So I can't really touch anything aside from the teddy bears. Oh, like teddy bears. There's like a pile of bikes.
There's some watches, some jewelry. I'm going to ride a bike around the room. All right. They are bikes for little boys.
So. All right. All right. Yeah.
Okay. I mean, that's like a bit. You pop on and write about the floor on the roof. I'm going to get your attention.
As the scari's writing the bicycle. I'm going to get a little bit more and she like you hear kind of echoing throughout the house. Who are you? What are you doing?
Hello. What are you doing? Yes. What are you doing?
Hi. My name is Ainsley. We've followed you here. Not entirely on purpose to get stuck, but you've been taking teddy bears from the store.
Different my son. Okay. But see, usually we'll, you know, we like to pay for things and not just take them. Just forming a little bit more.
Uh, wayfare. Do you do anything? Uh, no, I'll wait for her to reform a little more. Okay.
She, she says it's almost his birthday. I love this. And she forms a bit more. Where is your son?
It's his birthday. I love this. How old is he? He's turning, he's turning eight.
Okay. What's his name? It's almost his birthday. He'll love this.
He starts forming a bit more. She's more concrete. I'm going to zap her again for your own good lady too. All right.
You hit her again. She kind of like shrinks out into more misty form. And she kind of yelps again. She's like, why are you in my house?
What are you doing? You kind of have us trapped here. Leave. We can't.
You know where the door is. Yeah, there's nothing out there for us. You never like to hear anyway. I don't know you.
We're not trying to intrude, but we seem to be trapped here. Look, I move for your work and you feel like your traps? I don't know who you think. Who do you think we are?
Oh, we love this. Almost his birthday. She's working a bit more. She's a little more concrete.
The curse of the shadow mom. One. All right. She takes a little bit of a hit.
She's like, get out. Leave me alone. Are you hurting her? I don't think so.
Does it seem like she's being hurt? She's first getting hit by it. She's kind of yelps, but it seems like a surprise. Oh, okay.
I don't want to hurt her. She's like snapping her out of a kind of a haze and then she's like slowly falling back into it. Okay. So it does seem to be helping.
Yeah. Depends on how you define helping. Right. I'm going to try to get her to talk about her son.
Okay. What are you going to say? Just the questions I didn't get answered. Do you like what his name is?
Bradley. Bradley's birthday. I love this. I love this again.
All right. Blaster again. I should keep talking. I should keep talking.
I should keep talking. I should keep talking. It's heavy. All right.
You hit her again. Leave my house. I just want to be in peace. And you take us back.
Yes. She points her hand towards the wall and kind of a swirly shadow. She's like, just leave, please. Will you stop stealing teddy bears and toys?
I don't know what you're talking about. You're taking these toys from a store in our world. In the same world. Okay.
Dimension. I don't know these things. Wayfare. Where are we?
We're in another realm. Oh, another realm. She's flathering about teddy bears and loving it. Not yet, but I mean, she's so, I mean, you can hit her again or you can wait for her to start blathering about teddy bears again.
I say we leave and regroup, I guess. Leave and regroup. Come back here. Like figure out how to help this lady without stamping her continuously.
Okay. Yeah. No, I would definitely like to help her. Yeah, that's fine.
I mean, if we can get out of here, can we get out of here? Oh, we see. Yeah, she's coming back together with the swirly bits closing a bit. Oh, here.
Okay. All right. Wish me this was really good. All right.
I had you looking around the store. Grab gal. Yeah. Out of like a shadow of a corner.
Security and wafer just kind of casually walk out of it all. Okay. Hello. Going on.
We better really miss that lady. Okay. Okay. That's new to me.
Yeah, me too. Did you take care of her? We talked to her. She seems to be mentally ill.
Men are dangerous or harmless mentally ill. Trapped, reliving a memory. Dangerous memory or. Is she a threat, I guess?
Is what I'm trying to get at. I don't think so. Okay. All right.
You are still in course are with was it's was it's song? Was it's song? Yeah. Yeah.
I need to. He didn't want to come with me, right? Okay. Okay.
I'm going to take a picture of him base. Yeah. Yeah. He's like, let me talk about these things first.
I'll have to inspect it. Okay. I'm fine as long as you let me know what it is. I've got alarm systems in my base that are going to set off if certain things come into it.
So I just want to make sure it's not going to be issued. Oh, sure. I just mean because like your city is a little ways away. We're staying there.
You're just going to drive it back. I have access to an airplane. Tell orders. Okay.
Well, let me just grab a bottle of water. I have hydration issues. I have water there. If you like.
Okay. So I was like, take a look at it. All right. Yeah.
I'm going to take a little paper tabs and get it in. I'm going to take it off his hand. You're really paranoid. Yes.
It's just water. What do you mean? Your father tried to kill me. Okay.
So I'm trying to be careful. Sorry to me. I know. He's a wizard.
I don't know how this shit works. I was trying to be careful. I want you to make sure that because you're helping me that you come out of this in one piece. Fair enough.
So if we want to get back there, let's go back there. Okay. I'm going to hit my finger. Grab really still a week.
Yes. I'm going to get a bottle from here to I'll give you the longitude and latitude. Okay. Okay.
Do I know where that is? Yeah. Okay. I'll portal to the place and the best.
Okay. I'll just, well, we'll just talk it out or something and figure it out. Yeah. Yeah, cool.
We're going to take this guy back to space. I have some other captured. I have to talk to him. Okay.
This man when you were sleeping it's some things that led me pause so we're going to speak to him so that his son can see that he's still alive. He does not believe that he was his father and I need to verify for sure. Is that it? Okay.
Makes sense? Sure. And also sometimes a bone wizard shows up so if you need to fight him. Okay.
That's what I say. But when I go, it's probably fine. Oh sure. All right.
Let's have an important news then. All right. You've happened a portal. How close to the base you get?
Are you letting grab your room coming? You're not exactly on target, but you're like, you're like, you're right outside of the base. It's like a cab in the woods, right? When you get there, you notice that the front door is a jar.
Okay. I'll walk right in and look behind me. You might want to stay. Are you sure?
Yes. Okay. And grab your room. Do you want to buy in an entrance?
Open door. Does it mean everyone's inside? Okay. Oh, okay.
I'll grab like an infrared tracker out of my pocket. So I'm trying to pick up heat signatures. Okay. There's kind of walk around slowly and sneakily.
All right. You need to be able to roll stuff? Yeah. Five.
You're rolling stuff. You're sneaking around looking for heat signatures. You do notice you walk in the house and you notice one heat signature. As you like enter the door, you hear a voice from the kitchen.
It's a woman's voice. She says, you're all out of... Ooh, long. But Earl Grey will be fine.
Oh, I don't drink Earl Grey. I know. Is that what you would like? Well, it's microfered as you know, but this will do.
That's fine. Have you already been just prepared? Okay. I'm just going to catch him.
Okay. You notice a woman, she's cleaning out a cup and she's like, it was good though. So then she puts the cup back in the cupboard. Do I recognize her?
You don't. Okay. I'm just going to fight along. Right.
She turns around. She's like, so, query is what you're going by now. Yes. Interesting.
The whole get up in situation. There's a lot of people that want to kill me. Oh, yeah. I know.
I'm not aware. Okay. So you have this guy. Thanks for getting him.
I have some questions. So I invited myself in and asked him some things I needed to know. I appreciate you doing the like work on this one. I'm not sure where we may have met, but your demeanor is not incredibly different than mine.
I'm not really upset. I just like to know what's going on. I'm sure you do. I know.
I know you probably forgot a lot, but I'm not exactly sure how much. All of it seems to be. And trying to piece your life together based on spy documents did not prove to be too effective. Well, a lot of them are just blacked out and most of them are guarded even when you get the black out stuff.
Well, you know what they say? Why hide a needle in a haystack? We can hide a needle in a stack of needles. Pretty much.
I have this now. But if you know who I was before this, then I'm listening. Well, I guess the only thing I would like you to know is that even if you don't know who they are, there are so people that you use the care for. And they're still around and people do know where they are.
I don't know these things. I know you don't, but I'm hoping that there's a little bit inside of you that still vaguely cares. Cares, yes. Trusts you know.
Oh, right. I don't expect it to trust me. You never trusted me. No, I don't trust anybody.
I know. I thought you will. I see. I'm trying to thank you.
And just to let you know that there are things coming up and you're sniffing around some of the wrong places. And if I show up and tell you to back off, I recommend you do that. Probably won't. Yeah.
But you know I have to give you fair warning. I don't wish to fight you, but if you'd like to fight, let's just do it over with. Oh, I don't have any. I couldn't fight you anyway.
You could beat me to a bolt. I'm just a total person. I don't have powers or anything like that. But I'm not afraid for beating and I've never given it to torture.
And there are drones surrounding your area. So if I leave here with a thread out of place, you're going to be missled and get machined into oblivion. I don't want to fight. Perhaps I should rephrase this.
You clearly know things I don't. Obviously. What can I put on the table for you? Yeah, this is the thing.
You don't have anything I want that I can't just take. I'm just letting you know that I have leverage and that when it needs to happen, you know that I have leverage and you can just do what I want and get out of the way when I need you to. Well, if it makes sense, I will. I'm not interested in playing these logic games.
There's no real logic. There's more self-reservation or preservation of those you care about. Right. But you're speaking in code.
You're speaking in language. It's meant to be threatening. I understand. We're not from the same cloth.
I suppose what I'm saying is I'm not adverse to you. I am not fighting against whatever you're fighting. I'm fighting the good fight. I'm not against that.
You seem to be. Your recent actions say that you are. Who am I poking around with that you're bothered? See, I can't give you more than you've already gotten yourself.
I'm just going to start listing names. It's also like Massacre, Boss, Iodilon, Drake. You're opening doors that don't need to be open. I'm just letting you know that things will come to light soon that you're probably going to stumble upon and when you know that I'm involved, I'm just going to let you know to back off.
Because I know more than you do because I didn't have the data truncles ripped out of my head. So, you know. It does seem fair. I'm sorry.
Is my gentleman's speaker? Oh, yeah, I didn't hurt him. I just got the information I needed. That's fine.
You know you could do this without asking. Yeah, that's not my style. Yeah, I know. So, if you ever hear the name Jackson King, just step out of the way.
Okay. Yes, I know your name. I recognize the name. You've probably heard it once or twice.
Yes. I'm not against what you do. I'm that big building up there. Which one?
One of those super films in it. But you should know that I have a personal vendetta. I guess golden arrow. And I won't let that go.
He's MIA current. We gotta give a shit about golden arrow. I can't either if he's MIA. I'm not backing down.
Fair enough. Well, this was lovely. I guess I'll be on my way. I got what I needed.
