Medical device sales reps are increasingly being seen as crucial additions to the OR team nowadays. Often having the greater knowledge about the device they are selling, they are often depended upon by surgeons to ensure proper installation and to troubleshoot problems when they arise. Before you get to that place, however, it takes a lot of hard work, perseverance and the right attitude to earn their respect and confidence. Rachel Sadlack learned this early on during her career as a medical sales rep in CMF and trauma orthopedic. Taking a huge pay cut from her previous, non-medical sales job, Rachel took a chance in medical device by starting out as an associate for three seniors. Soon enough, she rose to become a senior and eventually a leader in a relatively short amount of time.
