AMCU still not happy with Sibanye Stillwater offer

SAfm — Trade union AMCU says its workers remain resolute even though mining company Sibanye Stillwater is refusing to accede to their demand of a wage increase. Workers in the gold sector have been on a two month strike following a deadlock between the parties. Members of AMCU working in the platinum belt have been given the go-ahead to embark on a sympathy strike which starts next week Tuesday. Their number stands at a strong 12 thousand with the union being the majority in the company's platinum sector. We spoke to AMCU president Joseph Mathunjwa and spokesperson of Sibanye Stillwater, James Wellsted.
