America East Basketball Playoffs: Upsets Ahead?

The 2026 America East mens basketball playoffs kick off this weekend, with UMBC securing the top seed and home court advantage. Vermont, previously a dominant force, misses out. All quarterfinal games stream live on ESPN+, with the semifinals and championship on ESPN. Despite top seeds winning eight of the last ten titles, lower seeds have crashed the party four times. The winner earns an NCAA tournament bid, with the conference boasting three sixteen seed wins in the past decade. Four teams aim for their first March Madness appearance.
