AMERICA MARKS 250TH ANNIVERSARY AS BRITISH FLEET THREATENS COLLAPSE | WAR ROOM AM W STEVE BANNON | AUGUST 20TH, 2026

Steve Bannon opens War Room AM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, by marking the 250th anniversary of one of the most perilous days in American history. Two hundred and fifty years ago today, roughly 200 Royal Navy warships filled New York Harbor while 32,000 British and Hessian combat troops (including 8,000 Hessians) sat on Staten Island, ready to move. Nathanael Greene fell ill; John Sullivan stepped in as a key commander under George Washington. Independence, signed just 90 days earlier, stood on the brink of being crushed. Bannon praises his blue-collar, working-class, and middle-class audience—many with military ties—for their hard-won sophistication on geopolitics and geo-economics after years of following the show, even without Wall Street or Pentagon credentials The historical near-collapse of the young republic comes as the United States today carries a record national debt above $40 trillion, faces an ongoing Iran conflict with naval blockade and economic pressure, and heads toward high-stakes midterms. Welcome to the War Room. Steve Bannon brings you the most important news from around the world. Watch LIVE on Real America’s Voice, 7 days a week at 10:00 AM EST., and again at 5:00 PM EST. M-S.
