America Now | Trump administration admits difficulty in securing Strait of Hormuz
from RT on Odysee · host RT
For months now, the White House has insisted that Iran is losing, that American military power has crippled Tehran, and that pressure is working. But here’s the problem: Iran may be weaker militarily while simultaneously gaining leverage politically and economically. Now, inside the White House, there are reportedly growing concerns that President Trump is running out of options. The war is now in its sixth month. Trump has repeatedly threatened more military action if Iran refuses to make a deal, but Tehran hasn’t capitulated. The Pentagon has another problem: munitions. Reports say the United States has burned through significant stockpiles of Patriot interceptors and other air defense weapons, enough that further escalation could put even more pressure on American inventories. America Now anchor Olivia Flynn talks with Jeremy Kuzmarov, the managing editor of CovertAction Magazine, about where this war is headed. A new security bloc is emerging in the Islamic world: Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey have signed a landmark defense pact. The deal states that an armed attack against any one of the three states will be considered an attack against all. RT correspondent Yasin Eken has the story.
