Israel experienced extraordinary blessing but repeatedly turned away from God—and Jolie believes America and much of the American church face a similar spiritual crisis. The conversation explores the dangers of complacency, materialism, cultural distraction, misplaced trust in political and religious leaders, addiction, idolatry, and spiritual lukewarmness.Jolie also draws a compelling comparison to Samson, who was called to be a deliverer but fell asleep in the lap of Delilah. Could the American church likewise be sleeping while surrounded by forces seeking to weaken its spiritual influence?TS Wright and Jolie emphasize that the answer is not ultimately found in political parties, personalities, governments, or earthly systems. Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God must remain first.Yet this episode is not a message of hopelessness.Jolie points listeners toward Psalm 139:23–24 and the necessity of personal examination, repentance, renewed love for Jesus, and wholehearted obedience to God. Before attempting to change a nation, believers must allow God to search and transform their own hearts. In this episode:Jolie's journey from an atheistic upbringing to faith in Jesus ChristThe message behind America, the Sleeping Giant and Her Slumbering ChurchParallels between ancient Israel and modern AmericaWhy Ezekiel 16 became foundational to Jolie's messageThe danger of complacency and lukewarm ChristianitySamson as a prophetic picture of a sleeping churchWhy believers cannot place ultimate trust in political leadersRecognizing modern forms of idolatryPsalm 139 and the importance of personal repentanceSeeking first the Kingdom of GodWhy Jolie believes there is still hope for America and the American churchGod's continuing calling and purpose for individual believersJolie's central message is clear: America may be spiritually asleep, but awakening is still possible when God's people return to Him with humility, repentance, fervency, and wholehearted devotion.CONNECT WITH JOLIELearn more about Jolie and her ministry at:PursueHoliness.comHer book, America, the Sleeping Giant and Her Slumbering Church, is also available through major book retailers.KEYWORDS / TAGSJolie Vogliardo, America the Sleeping Giant, Her Slumbering Church, Christian Product Expo, CPE 2026, Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, TS Wright, American church, sleeping church, spiritual awakening, Christian revival, repentance, Ezekiel 16, ancient Israel, America and Israel, biblical prophecy, Christian discipleship, lukewarm church, Samson and Delilah, church complacency, spiritual complacency, Christian culture, Kingdom of God, seek first the Kingdom, Psalm 139, Christian authors, Christian books, Christian podcast, faith in America, revival in America, awakening the church, holiness, Pursue Holiness, Jesus Christ, biblical worldviewCALL TO ACTIONIs the Church asleep—or is God calling His people to awaken? If this conversation challenged you, don't keep it to yourself.
