And in light of the insurrection at the US Capitol building on Wednesday January 6, 2021, and the resulting call to come together to strengthen our democracy, I felt a strong pull to sharing the reflections in this episode, to talk about the state of our democracy in the US, and more importantly, the state of us, as a community and as a humanity. The way we, as a society choose to use our words is a powerful tool at our disposal, and the words we say matter; or even those words we don’t say but need to say also matter.
