In recent years, the law enforcement profession has been facing a real crisis in our ability to recruit and retain officers with the abilities, character and integrity to do a very difficult and increasingly dangerous job. There are many professions that are facing similar difficulties, but many of the challenges of retaining veteran officers and hiring quality candidates are unique to law enforcement.
