Witnessing the 9/11 attacks, Benjamin felt a call to action, joining the U.S. Army and serving as a sniper in the "Battle of Ramadi" during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2006 Benjamin was awarded the prestigious "Army Commendation Medal with Combat V" (extreme valor in combat. After his military service, he transitioned to policing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Benjamin shares his experiences from the battlefield and extreme challenges he faced transitioning to civilian life as a police officer. He openly talks about overcoming the impact of war and stresses of both roles and importance of seeking help and his work in support fellow military veteran and 1st Responders. Benjamin's journey is not just about personal struggles but also about advocating for better support systems within law enforcement.
