For centuries, the Jewish people had been given prophesies that spoke of a Messiah that was to come. Many were looking for the prophesy that came from the mouth of a gentile: “A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel.” And now, a star had appeared over Bethlehem. The Magi saw the say and responded by taking a long journey to meet this new King. However, not everyone had the same response. The time had come, the one who was to save the world was born.
