Do you know who this fellow is? He’s vocalist, composer and vaudevillian Eddie Morton, sometimes credited as Ed. Morton. After working for the Philadelphia Police Department for about 7 years, he went into show business, earning himself the nickname “The Singing Policeman.” You’ll hear three of his many recordings in the fourth segment of this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records. His is one of five birthday saluted in this week’s “All Birthday” edition of the show. The others are George Reneau, Mart Britt and Bert Shefter, all first timers, and Harry Rosenthal.
