An American Tail (1986)
from Sequelcast 2 and Friends Hosted by Mat Bradley-Tschirgi
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss An American Tail, an animated feature film from 1986. A mouse gets lost in New York City in the middle of his family's immigration to the United States. He also sings songs. Former Disney animator Don Bluth directs this box office smash loosely inspired by Steven Spielberg's grandfather's experience of coming to America. Earnest to a point of often being cheesy, An American Tail has a lot of heart as Fievel ventures through his picaresque adventures. Don Bluth and Mel Brooks mainstay Dom DeLuise is a highlight as the vegetarian cat Tiger. An American Tail grossed more than twice as much as The Great Mouse Detective, the new Disney animated feature released the same year. Sequelcast 2 and Friends is part of the HyperX Podcast Network.
