An Appeal for the Season

As we head into the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, we need a biblical and intentional mindset. Most, if not all of us, will gather with loved ones and friends, which include those we very much want to see as well as those who can be quite a challenge to be around. The upcoming holiday gatherings are potential platforms for the gospel to be shared and lived. Whether we make the most of these platforms will ultimately come down to persevering in showing a balance of mercy and truth. A.W. Tozer said we are "to contend for the faith without being contentious!" The Letter of Jude provides the appeal we need, along with the mindset required, so that we remain attentive to our own walks with Christ as we actively seek to point people we know and love to Him.
