The Fifth Annual Sir Leslie Melville Lecture was presented by Professor Warwick J McKibbin.  Sir Leslie Melville’s legacy includes the design and establishment of new institutions for dealing with global macroeconomic interdependence. Today the world is grappling with a far more complex set of problems related to environmental interdependence on a global scale. In this lecture, Professor Warwick McKibbin argues that major countries must respond to the issue of climate change, taking into account the enormous uncertainties that are involved. He discusses the key features of the climate change policy problem and will outline a policy framework that would allow an effective but flexible response to what may be the major issue of our time.
Podcasts from the 1st year Introductory Chemistry course for Forensic Science students These are five podcasts that were broadcast on Lincoln's Siren FM radio during Science Week, 2010. They are part of an undergraduate chemistry course for Forensic Science students. This unit covers all the major areas of chemistry (inorganic, organic and physical) and is directed towards those theoretical and conceptual aspects that are developed subsequently in later stages of the course.Throughout the unit students are encouraged to develop practical skills necessary for all future chemistry-based practical applications in the field of forensic science. To find out more about this course, go to: http://forensicchemistry.lincoln.ac.uk/ From Pain to Performance David Renfrew In this podcast we discuss the science and practice behind physical health, mythbusting dodgy practices and treatments and providing proven, helpful advice on health and movement, everything from Pain to Performance The Growth Kit Brian Comly The Growth Kit is where science and practical advice intersect to help you live a better life.
