An Asian American Story For Today

from Amplify Peace Podcast · host Lisa Jernigan

We recently celebrated May as Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. What many of us may not be aware of is that Asian Americans in recent years have become increasingly vulnerable to various acts of violence, racism, discrimination and harassment. How do we intentionally listen to their stories, their realities and their fears through the lens of peacemaking. This week on Counter Culture Radio we listen to a woman who understands what this community faces and shares her own personal story as a Asian woman. Born in Vietnam, Linh Bashara came to the states at an early age after the war in 1975. She and her husband own and manage a children’s dental office. Linh also loves being a bible teacher in the evenings and is mom to two teenage boys. Her story is powerful.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
