An Essential Warning

from bpchurch Sermons · host Pastor Bob Carlson

This did remind me of Paul’s warning to the Thessalonians about receiving a “letter seeming to be from us” (2 Thes 2:2) which was actually a deceptive lie and not biblical truth. We live in a world where the one Jesus called “a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44) has made lies abound. But God has given to us his truth which the world around us and we ourselves desperately need. This biblical truth is one of the Essential Ingredients for growing in knowing and following Jesus, which is what we’ll be talking about this Sunday in Romans 12:1-2; 2 Tim 3:16-17 and Phil 2:3-4.
