South Lanarkshire Libraries presents An Evening with Johnnie Johnstone, recorded as part of the Lending Voices podcasting project and delivered in partnership with St Andrew's and St Bride's High School.In this episode, East Kilbride teacher and 1980s indie music expert Johnnie Johnstone is interviewed by two of his own pupils about his book "Through the Crack in the Wall: The Secret History of Josef K." Together they explore the story of one of Scotland's most influential cult indie bands, who mysteriously disappeared at the height of their fame.In the 1980s, Scotland was the epicentre of the UK's post-punk independent music scene, and its reverberations are still heard today.
