The implication of the word " mine", it emphasizes personal ownership for my action towards the universal Christ. It demands personal accountability- I choose what I will lift, and mine eyes must be directed upwards. On a metaphysical level the word " mine" speaks of inner change of in soul. The eyes symbolize consciousness, perception and focus. When I say " mine eyes" I am confessing that I have authority over where I look,what I see and how I interpret reality
