An Interview with Doug and Emmy Jo of The New Zoo Revue

from Pop & Prose · host Buddy Gott

In this episode, I interviewed Doug Momary and Emily 'Emmy Jo' Peden, the stars of the classic children's television series THE NEW ZOO REVUE.Close to 200 episodes of the series were produced in the 1970s and they continued to air on television in syndication for many years afterward. The series has recently experienced a new wave of popularity due to several of its episodes being readily available on YouTube and Amazon. THE NEW ZOO REVUE was a favorite of mine when I was a child and I had a wonderful time learning more about it here from Doug and Emmy Jo. It was also fun chatting with them about their current activities, which have included their recent appearances at conventions and their active participation in the multiple social media platforms devoted to THE NEW ZOO REVUE.
