An Invitation to Rest (Matthew 11:28-30)

Discussion Questions (Week commencing Sunday 5th July 2020) Text: Matthew 11:28-30 Why is it that in a world with more time saving gadgets and resources people complain of being more tired than ever? If Jesus were to enter our world (as he did 2000 years ago) what do you think might be his commentary on our Western “busyness”? What is an example of you doing something out of obedience to God, that wasn’t your first preference? How does God lead you or direct the path you take? How would you explain the phrase “rest for your soul”? How do you reconcile Jesus analogy of his “yoke” being easy with other statements he made about suffering persecution for being a Christian? What will you do differently this week for considering this passage of Scripture?
