An obtuse angle
from Daily Picture · host Stephanie Hawkins
Today I saw a picture of two lines meeting to create a wide obtuse angle. Obtuse originates from the Latin for blunt or dull. This contrasts to the pointed small sharp acute angle. I believe that this picture is to remind us of the need to keep ourselves sharp, focused and prepared with God's Word, ready and active for what God asks of us and to withstand whatever life throws at us. "For the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double edged sword ..." (Hebrews 4:12) and "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring line looking for someone to devour: (1 Peter 5:8). The enemy can roar loudly but you can keep calm and peaceful in the knowledge of God's love, and defensive and creative power.
