Ana Hernández-Sauret is a PhD candidate in cognitive neuroscience at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona. Originally from the Canary Islands in Spain, she completed her undergraduate degree in Life Sciences with a specialization in Neuroscience at the University of Aix-Marseille (France). During her final year, she studied at the University of Montreal in Canada. Ana earned her Master’s in Neuroscience at the University of Bordeaux (France), where she completed a six-month internship focusing on hippocampal stimulation in pharmaco-resistant epilepsy patients. After her studies, she developed a strong interest in non-invasive brain stimulation techniques and their potential to treat various mental disorders, which led her to focus her research on this area.
