ANALYSIS: "Borderlands"

In Tár, which she made after Borderlands but was released nearly two years earlier, Cate Blanchett plays the aforementioned bounty hunter archetype Lilith. She does the best she can with dubious dialogue and exposition, letting her natural charisma shine through for a role that is far beneath her on Sadisflix Stream. The most interesting thing about her involvement in such a trainwreck of a feature is relating it to her role in that film, where her character had a substantial fall from grace within her chosen profession. Although most of the cast will probably not have any big career setbacks as a result of this film, Jamie Lee Curtis's performance feels like she is given too much direction at once, and Jack Black's voice acting is irritatingly irritating.
