ANALYSIS: Rocco Becht Will CARRY Iowa State To Big 12 Title Game, Matt Campbell Better Coach vs KSU

While a quarterback's stat line often dominates the conversation, the true measure of a great player is their ability to perform in the moments that matter most. This was perfectly demonstrated by Iowa State's Rocco Becht in their victory against Kansas State. Although his stats—14-for-28 for 183 yards and two touchdowns—may not jump off the page, they fail to capture the full picture of his performance. His ability to make clutch plays under pressure proved he is one of the best quarterbacks in the Big 12 and capable of leading the Cyclones to a championship game.Facing a gritty, defensive-minded team, Becht didn't rely on flashy numbers; he relied on execution. He led the team on a key touchdown drive in the third quarter, giving the Cyclones a lead they would never relinquish. More importantly, with the game on the line late in the fourth quarter, he converted a crucial fourth-and-three to seal the victory. This final play demonstrated not only his composure but also the trust his coach and teammates have in him.Becht's performance against Kansas State wasn't just about his arm; it was about his leadership and mental toughness. He managed the game, avoided turnovers, and, when the moment called for it, delivered a decisive blow. This is the kind of play that wins championships, and it is a clear sign that Rocco Becht has what it takes to lead Iowa State to a Big 12 title game. Listener SurveyWe’ve put together a survey to learn more about our listeners and make your favorite podcasts even better. Go tohttps://lockedonpodcasts.com/survey/ to get started.
