# How Ananse Tricked TigerAnanse the spider discovered Tiger trapped in a deep pit, desperately trying to escape by leaping and jumping. Looking down with a smile, Ananse mockingly greeted Tiger, infuriating him. Determined to escape, Tiger began methodically clawing his way up the pit walls while Ananse shouted false encouragement. As Tiger neared the top, exhausted and barely hanging on, he gasped that he had no more strength. Ananse cleverly suggested that Tiger pray for strength, telling him to put his paws together. When Tiger followed this seemingly helpful advice, he immediately lost his grip and slid all the way back down to the bottom of the pit.
