ANC to study high court judgement to reinstate NW PEC before dealing with matter internally.

SAfm — The ANC says it will study the recent High Court judgment that has reinstated the North West Provincial Executive Committee before it deals with the matter internally. Last year, the National Executive Committee deemed the PEC led by Chairperson Supra Mahumapelo unlawful and disbanded it. However, this morning Judge Fayeeza Kathree-Setiloane found that the ANC had been procedurally unfair in reaching its decision to disband the North West PEC and had flouted its own constitution. In a statement - the ANC says it will take action in due course but in the meantime called for North West members to focus on mobilising support for the upcoming elections.
