Ancient Ayurvedic Text: The source but not the destination!

Learn why classical ayurvedic texts are as logical as mathematics.   Namaste,  Recently I read a comment online that Ginseng is not Ayurvedic as it is not described in any of the Ayurvedic text. Unfortunately, most of the people believe that Ayurvedic text is a compilation of some esoteric concepts, a long list of herbs, and some herbal formulations.  However, this notion is so far from the truth!  Classical Ayurvedic text is more like Math textbooks. They are indicative in nature. The limited amount of herbs mentioned in ancient texts are just examples of herbal categories. All this classical text gives us rules to understand herbs, rules that are applicable in an incredibly wide variety of health situations.
