In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour. This is your host, Raven.

This is Chad. And this is Emmett. We're back for another fabulous episode of the Supernatural Hour, but first Chad, you have some business for us. Yeah, we do have some business.

It's brought to you today by Castle Photo Art. You can go out to CastlePhotoArt.com. They do great jobs with the photography. We just want to say thank you to our patrons and for all the support that they give us.

We really appreciate their help. And if you want to become a patron and support the Supernatural Hour, our podcast will go out to patrons and help us out. Can I say something to other patrons? Yes, you can say whatever you'd like.

But he loves a silk conner. I'm getting him mixed into you. Christmas. We got crazy busy.

Sorry. I'll get over to you tomorrow. You've forgotten you. It's coming.

Oh, we love conner and Loryann. Big shout out. All right. And then we do have an upcoming investigation at the Town Center Hub in American Fork on January 15th.

Go out to eventspernal.com to look forward to. It's for that event. It's going to be a great time. It's an old theater.

It's an old sticky shoe. And as you know, all three of those are haunted. All places are haunted. It's an old theater, which equals haunted.

Yeah, in the 1930s. And we have access to pretty much the whole thing. We went to the walkthrough and there was a party going on so it was kind of hard to get some feels. But there were definitely two spirits sitting in the empty theater that we wandered through.

So it'll be active. Yeah, the projection room upstairs was pretty cool. A lot of areas. So we're really looking forward to this new venue.

And when are we doing that event? That's Saturday, January 15th. January 15th. Coming right up.

It's about time. It's been a little quiet. I'm excited to get out and do something. It's hard to do stuff during the holidays because everyone's just too busy.

So I'm excited to get back in on our regular, six week hot and we've got some fun stuff coming up. Yeah, it's been since October. Yeah. All right.

Well, we haven't really done much for residential. We had one. It rescheduled for tomorrow. So on the next podcast, we're going to have a residential for you.

Yeah, they got a sick ever. I'm going to have one for this week, but I guess it. Yeah. Yeah.

Especially during a pandemic. Right. Yeah. And winter.

Every winter pandemic or no? Right. Everyone at work is sick speaking of. So we have Emmet and he is going to talk a little bit about work and his office and what's been going on.

Well, you remember we actually investigated this as a group a while back and that whole building was pretty haunted and I had to Raven found the guy that liked to sit in my office chair. And every time I go in there, he'd run out of the room. And so that's okay. That's been several months.

That was last summer, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, it was about a week ago, wasn't it?

And I was doing a Marco Polo with Raven. And I'm sitting there talking and all of a sudden this little orb about all the size of a marble just goes flying right in front of my face, just between my face and the phone. And I noticed it and I said something, but I thought it could have been dust or something. So I went back to my Marco Polo and it could have been a minute later and another one came by and I thought, well, there's something going on or I'm losing my mind.

So I finished the video and I went back and looked at it and the first one wasn't caught, but the second one was in frame and clearly seen. So that got me to pull out some of the EMF gear and I've been getting weird EMF readings at different times of day. High EMFs when the office below me isn't occupied and there's nothing on in there. So I think something might be going on.

We've also looked at Laylines, which is interesting because there's the biggest nexus of Laylines in the western United States is in northern Utah and it's not too far from where we work there. And one of these Laylines actually passes through Skinwalker Ranch and that nexus by our employer and another one passes through my house, first rogues house, my house and our employer in that nexus. So I think there's a lot of things happening right now. Some of the other employees have even noticed more activity than usual.

These noises, like five in the morning that aren't usual and they're seeing more movement out of the corner of their eyes. So I really want us to get back in there again as a team soon and see if something is really going on. And the thing about those orbs that you saw is when I see an orb in a photo, you have to kind of discount it unless you see it yourself because it could be dust, it could be moisture, it could be a myriad of things. And so there's a few ways to decide if it's possibly paranormal or not.

We've talked about it before. You have to look at the direction the dust is going first of all. And the way that the orb moves and you hope that you catch it in your photo. But the interesting thing that I find with these orbs that you saw in the Marco Polo is you saw them with your naked eye.

And so when you see an orb with your naked eye, that's usually not dust, it's usually not moisture, it's usually. And it wasn't even a foot in front of my face too. The first one wasn't even caught on the Marco Polo and I noticed that one. It's probably the guy saying, I'm a chair.

Well, I can't have the last one there too and he hasn't appeared. Can I'm a chair, Jack? That's what he's saying. Time to try for some EVPs.

Okay, well, did you do an EVP session today? What I did today, I did another, I did an experimental, I did three experimental Marco Polo's just to my wife, Trix and Chia, you know, she didn't have to reply or anything. I just let it run and sat there and looked at it. And, you know, I total maybe, I don't know, 20 or 30 minutes.

I didn't see a thing. So there was nothing today. And I did a little night vision segment yesterday, probably about 50 or 20 minutes. I didn't catch anything there and had an audio running.

So, you know, it's, most of the time when you're looking, they don't want to play. You know, I think we got lucky with the Marco Polo orbs. Maybe we'll get lucky again. Okay, so I have to just mention something.

Emit usually has like a full beard, good tea. And as many want to do with the occasionally shaving off, you know, to let the face breathe in the water. Warg and Emit are both zooming in today. And just every time I look at Emit, it's like, who is that?

Because there's no beard, it's still freaking me out just a little. It's starting to come in, he's that closer to the video. So it's starting to come in. But anytime we can have her drawing.

Yeah. So, we have the ancient Ramsen, and it's brought to you by Oteos. We have fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. You got to go try it.

It's in London. It's just there on State Street. We were there a week ago. Very, very good.

So, ancient Ramsen, the first time I heard of the ancient Ramsen is when Ghost Adventures did it years and years and years ago. I think it was in their first season or two. And I instantly just remember with his building for 100 reasons. The first reason is if you've ever looked at this, if you have a minute, do it right now.

Sit down with Google, ancient Ramsen. This building is the quintessential English cottage. It's just, it's quaint and the bricks. And this building was built in 1145 people.

It is like almost a thousand years old. There is an plumb or a square wall in the whole thing. No. I'm looking at it right now and it really is ancient.

It is. And I just, if any of you are interested in buying it, and then moving there. And then moving there forever. Because it is adorable.

I mean just the grounds and the building itself. You just, you know that Golden Locks is going to come skipping out of there with her basket of food at any second with the demon behind it. But you know, not ever. Anyway, yeah.

But it's a thousand years old. Can you imagine just all this stuff that can happen over the course of a thousand years? Right. And they're just because of that.

You know, the fact that this is one of the most haunted buildings in England doesn't surprise me. Everything in England is haunted. Oh yeah. I've decided that pretty much everywhere is haunted.

But you know, just doing the research and making sure I knew everything that was going on. You know, so I can be prepared to talk. All this podcast about it. There are some disturbing things that happen in this building that just adds to everything.

Do it's creepyness? Yes. So here's some of the stuff. You know, over the course of a thousand years, there's going to be all sorts of people with all sorts of issues and all sorts of things and outs going on with this building, right?

But some of the dark and disturbing paths that's happened in this building is witchcraft, murder, torture, kidnap, satanic worship. They also believe that there were some pagan ritualistic killings that happened in this building. And so I think that lends a lot to creepy stuff going on in the building. Oh yeah.

Did you say when I was created? When was the thing first started? Yeah, I was in 45. Okay.

So literally about a thousand years. Every crime you could think of has been committed in that building in a thousand years. Oh, yeah. I didn't didn't a man live in it for 50 years, like as it is home.

I was the owner. Yep. Yep. He did his name is John Humphries.

I don't know. But I was in second seat. I didn't see it. I just had Mr.

Humphries. I'm not so late. Just a little while ago. 2017.

2017. Yeah. So his family wouldn't even stay there with him because of all of the different things. And I think that he had kept or there was like ritualistic items through out the place that while he lived there, he just kind of kept.

Right. So it was originally built as a keeping house. Kind of like a boarding house for the slaves and workers who were constructing the local church. It's called St.

Mary's Church. Right. After St. Mary's church was finished when they left and the way they became the home of a priest.

The vicarage. Right. The first vicarage. And it had obviously over a thousand years.

It's going to have a lot of different owners, you know, with a lot of different things, different functions. In 1930, the house was privately owned. It was a fellow by the name of Maurice, the bath, who bought it and restored it. And then the inn was sold to John Humphries in 1968 and he bought it for £2600.

And he actually dedicated his life to restoring and preserving the inn. And this inn is so cute and so beautiful. If I had the money, then if I had been alive in 1968, I get it. I totally get it.

This is a building that's worth restoring. They make cross-stitch patterns of this building. I don't know if they do, but if I were a cross-stitch company, I would make a pattern of this building. I'm going to tell you how beautiful this is.

Like 500 times in the spot, yes, be prepared. So the haunted nature and the claimed succubus resident, that doesn't tarnish the charm of this place at all for you. Oh, that makes it better. It's like, and it has ghosts.

Yeah. It's got everything. Yeah. So the building was an interview and Humphries daughter Caroline, she described growing up.

She calls it in the shadows of the ancient ram. And she said it was so spooky that there were several nights she slept outside. She slept outside in a caravan, and I'm going to guess that's a van. I don't know if it means an actual Dodge Caravan or if it's an English word.

She said she was actually afraid to enter the property at night. And she said it was normal. I'll just read her quote. She said it was normal for us to see people running out of the house screaming in terror.

Oh, wow. So it wasn't just the family making up stories. It was, you know, I mean, they had it as like a bed breakfast in for a long time. You think that the ancient ram in, is that known?

Was that Humphries or the previous owner? You know, I don't know. I don't know that I even of course that in my... Or maybe that goes back to antiquity.

Yeah, that might be what it was called. I'm back in the day. Yeah. It was just a cool name.

To me, I mean, it sounds very English because they name all of their homes. And ancient ram just sounds kind of badass, honestly. Ancient in front of anything. Like quaint, but in your face.

The ancient ram. That's just me. We just lost all of the listeners. Okay, whatever.

She's crazy, we're out. So speaking of lay lines, the ancient ram in is located directly on the cross-right side. Of course. And lay lines like we didn't actually do a podcast years ago about lay lines.

And I didn't mind doing one again. It's going to be a business unit. It's getting personal in a hurry. It is.

And you know, lay lines as we've talked about, they're usually draw. You can draw through several places of geological and spiritual importance. So oftentimes they'll run through churches or, you know, cathedrals or burial grounds. Just the energy that they put off draws, that kind of a thing.

And I'm sure the churches and the, you know, the great yards and some of the things they're probably also add to that. It's probably a given take. Yeah, but the lines just funnel that energy in. Right.

So yeah, so when I got that out, I was like, oh, of course it's on lay lines. So one of the lay lines that crosses the ancient ram's in also crosses the center of Stonehenge. Wow. And one of them can be traced through Glastonbury tour.

I don't know what that is. Just FYI. But lay lines are basically energy tracks. And people say that the ancient energy of Stonehenge really feeds the paranormal activity along the places in that line.

And I've been to Stonehenge. And it definitely has a very different feel to it than most places. It has, you know, it's like if you've ever visited an old battleground or, you know, look at the drill or, you know, someplace where it just feels reverent, that's definitely what Stonehenge felt like. But there was a very latent buzz of energy that I could feel.

And at the time I almost said, oh, hey, that's the lay line. I was looking back now. I go, oh, hey, that was a lay line. I was feeling.

So. Now I want to get a map of all the lay lines in England and see where they all run. And also when I met Bill's, M.A., on Marco Polo, nobody's doing. Okay, we're not talking about Stonehenge.

We're talking about the ancient rammin. Let's get back to that a little bit. I thought it was cool that it was on a lay line. Sorry about that.

No, that's okay. So not only is it on top of the lay line, but it's on top of a 5,000 year old pagan burial ground. So I'm going to make people feel this in a more condensed energy spot if they tried. And who knows?

Exactly. So it was in the basement. They have found dozens of children's skeletons and silver daggers. And so it's almost like it was a ritualistic sacrificial sort of thing.

I mean killing children is creepy, but they weren't just being creepers. It was part of their early ceremony, part of their religion. This is on the pagan section. Right.

So they believe that it's directly linked to the pagan rituals and child sacrifice. It wasn't just some serial killer going on a rampage. So tons of people visited and I know for a long time you could go and stay there. And now Carolyn the daughter Carolyn Humphries, they've pretty much closed it to the public, but those hunters can go there.

They still like those hunters go. So I mean... It's not just a bed and breakfast. Yeah, it's not just a bed and breakfast.

Yeah, it's not just a bed and breakfast. Just say, yeah, it's not just a bed and breakfast. Yeah, it's not just a bed and breakfast. It's not just a bed and breakfast.

Just say, yeah, it's not just a bed and breakfast and maybe when we're going to stay this people in. But if you... There's a bucket list item right there. Right.

This is probably my top five. I did that as a bucket list item a few episodes ago. You did it. Well, it's still going to go on to it.

You only have to do this call up and say, hey, we want to come go straight in and get in. Just... Ah. So one of the things, you know, is the Humphries, they bought this building.

They dedicated, at least John dedicated his life to restoring it. And I'm sure the family just, you know, your family. So you're going to help dad, right? But they found a lot of demonic artifacts and just really strange things inside of their renovating it.

So they hadn't been moving in the house very long before they started noticing the strange activity. And it didn't take long. One of the first things they found was a built-to-of-large behind a brick in the chimney. And then they began to find other tributes to the middle, as they call it.

Some of the things they found were modified animals. They found daggers that looked like they'd been used, which would be super creepy. They found jars that were full of strange objects and suspicious looking liquids. And they said that one of the objects looked like it covered by a human finger.

Another thing is it's really... It's built on what they call potterspot, a tree, marshy, a lot of streams. And they've actually had to divert some of those streams in order to lay foundations for the church. So this would have been, you know, back in the 1900s.

And a lot of people have realized that that was instrumental in opening a potter for dark energy. Changing the water course. And so, yeah, there's one more thing. You know, it's proofing in this jar and barely remove the water.

And you can be asked for one more perfect storm here. They also think, they also think with a lot of the Christian architecture in the middle ages, that Saint Mary's Church, which is very, very close to the end, was built on that lay line by intention. I think that they know about those lay lines and built it there purposely. So, as we talked before, John Humphrey just put his heart and soul into this building to refurbish it and to make it a bed breakfast.

But after a few years, it just wasn't a lay-bose. And then breakfasting was simply because it had gotten far too dangerous. And when you've got to the public, running the public, in John Humphrey's mind-o-stuncher, you know, love the building, love the history, wanted to, you know, preserve it and keep it going for years and years down the road. And he says, no, it is too dangerous.

We cannot just have, you know, people come here and suppose you know that it's going down. And at least at the time, at the last prices I could find, it's pretty affordable. You can stay there for 25 to 30 pounds a night. Did his family move out before he shut down the business?

Or is that about the same time? Do we know? I think it's about the same time. I know he's there the entire time.

Yeah, they abandoned him. Yes. Has Daniel always said I don't think she knows it, though? I think she knows off-site.

So, let's talk about some of the stuff that is going on there. So, first of all, there are some finger-doughts. They do have some caspurs, as it were. So, there's the spade of a 15th century woman who was sentenced to death for which she accused a witchcraft, which is not surprising.

She tried to escape and killed by thinking that she could hide there. But she was found and run at the stake. She doesn't mean to be harmed, although she does not like to be called a witch. And...

How do we have to... Right, but you're not. Kind of creepy, but she's not... She gets creepy, if you call her a witch.

The room that her spirit lingers in is called the witch's room, which probably doesn't help, but she makes me more creepy and will talk about being called a witch when she's not, but she's not levelin'. And I think we're watching a video, and they said that someone had gotten a picture of her in the window, and she'll do the window, and we paused it, and I'm like, I don't see a picture. And I don't see anything in that scene that looks like a witch. So, I don't know if that was the witch picture, or if it was just a picture of the window.

But, you know, someone has gotten a picture of her. See the window. This doesn't help with the whole witch thing, but apparently in that room there's also a black cat ghost. A cat ghost?

A black cat ghost. I'm gonna cat ghost, a black cat ghost. Well... It might have been a witch's cat, but it could have been one of the mummified cats that figured about 500 years old that Mr.

Hupris found inside the wall when he was renovating. At the time, having a dead cat inside your wall was considered a lucky charm, and I think that smells like it would be or sounds like it would be stinky, but that's... I'm glad times have changed. Me too.

Me too. But I've also seen the ghost of the young girl, uh, behind this, uh, again, behind the window in the room. The girl in the attic? I think so, and the people that see her says that she's waiting.

Um, and they say the spirits of former owners like hanging around in the sitting room. So I guess if you rule on the building and you die at some point you just come back and go, whatever, I guess I'll just hang out in the sitting room. Find a corner. After a thousand years I could be pretty busy.

Yeah. Yeah. So, I know. So, I know from came back in Grand Central Station.

This is my house. This is my house. My house. That's probably fine.

Okay, so we've talked about some of the dark practices, but during the renovation of the basement, uh, John Humphrey's accidentally dug up a grave, um, with several children skeletons at the foot of the staircase. And, you know, again, there's a lot of daggers, and just the way it was, it just kind of led to, you know, I think this was a pagan ritualistic thing. Um, the broken knives were still inside the skeletons. And one of the things that people that have been there have said they heard is many, many people say that they hear the cries of children.

Also, this is possibly where this could come from. It's from this burial ground. Um, so when people went there and they realized, oh, this is where all these children were killed. You know, regardless the reasons it's still sad.

And so when people would come to Ghost Town or, you know, before they closed the inn, they would bring stuffed animals and they would put stuffed animals all around down there. And they said the crying became less with the stuffed animals, but it never completely vanished. There's a spirit of a young girl by the name of Rosie, who I think is different than the waving spirit upstairs. She's been seen floating through the hallways.

But people say, is it really a child spirit or is it a type three, you know, a demonic entity that is, you know, masquerading as a child? Um, a lot of people think the pagan rituals, the other death of children, may have opened up a portal for dark energy. So, again, you really couldn't have masterminded this building to be any darker if you tried. Yeah, it's just a supernatural potpourri.

Everything you can think of in one spot. Right. And that's going to happen with a building that's a thousand years old. Yep.

Exactly. Oh, sorry, what were you saying something? Okay. Ah, so attacks.

There have been attacks there. Mr. Humphrey himself said he had several unpleasant encounters with his housemates. He says the very first night he stayed there, he was pulled from his bed by the arm by an unseen force.

His bedroom was terrorized by a poltergeist to get banging on the windows. Um, he put, he decided that being drunk from his bed was not very much fun. You know, when you lay down, you're trying to sleep, being yanked out doesn't, you know, really. It's not what you can do, so you have to get a nice sleep.

Um, so he got this giant wooden crucifix and hung it in his bedroom and so that you're getting a get a bed stopped. So if you get a get a bed, that wooden crucifix, you're good. Um, he says the banging on the window never truly ceased. Um, it just moved on to another room.

And it's a, it's a large building, but not so large that if you're just banging on a window on a different room, you're still going to hear it. Um, he actually had a wife, doesn't mention her name, but they refused to stay at the end and they moved to a different house. They're like, no, we're out. So John actually ended up living there by himself.

Um, he said he never once thought about leaving the inn, even though he wasn't alone. I mean, he wasn't alone as far as his family not being there, but he wasn't alone. You know. Makes you think about, uh, was this guy really, was he possessed?

Or do you have an attachment, which is something keeping him there and forcing the family away and making him not see that? Uh, because you think you go with your family. You think it's okay? You know, I'll go with your family and we'll just, maybe I'll stay here on the weekend or something.

Yeah, but we see that before, like, you know, one owner will get attached to the property and won't leave and, you know, the other partner can't stand it. So there might be something to that, you know, it might not have been all his, his decision. Right. Absolutely.

But, you don't say it was, it's super cute to have been able to say that before. I'm totally open right now. I'm sleeping here. I'm not going to do this.

It's cute. Satan's here. I don't care. It's still cute.

I might have issues I need to work on. So, um, Mr. And because that makes sense, it's a thousand years old. Let's put old stuff in here, right?

You're restoring it. Preserve here. You want it to look period, so it makes sense. He found an antique painting of a pastor named John Leslie.

And he was super excited to have this painting. Um, but he hung up the stairwell and he said, all hell broke loose. So doors that had been closed for years swung up and slammed shut. There was banging on all of the windows.

His daughter's dog didn't even dare entering the stairwell when the painting was up. So, needless to say, he didn't leave the painting hanging in the stairwell for very long. It got rehomed fairly quickly. And the activity stopped when the painting was removed, of course.

Yep. Yep. They took the painting out. So, you know, the spirits in the home did not appreciate an antique painting of a pastor.

So, that kind of tells you something. Oh, man, I've got, no, we're going to have a little time protection here. Yep. Yeah.

So, here is one that will be everybody's favorite, an incubus and a succubus. So, these demons, the incubus and the succubus, were probably one of the main reasons that the end was no longer fit to be just, you know, a regular old bed breakfast. Um, it's a little off-putting when, you know, spirits try to fill you up in the middle of the night. They lost their six flags rating.

Yes. So, just in case you don't know what an incubus and succubus are, an incubus is a male six demon who would take advantage of female visitors. An incubus, some say, feet on the female hormones. So, you know, he likes those female hormones, crawls in bed with you.

Yeah, just stop there. Succubus is similar, but female. So, everything I just said, but reverse. The female demon that really feeds on the male hormones.

And it said that some people would even jump in the windows to escape these encounters that they had with these two particular spirits. John Humphrey is actually sharing his room with incubus until his death. And as he said, that he was dragged from his bed by violent entities and raped routinely by the buildings resident succubus. He said, since suffering those supernatural assaults, he always carried a Bible with him around the house.

I think if that happened to me once, I'd be moving out with the family and I'd be going, nope, nope, nope. It's so cute. And what though, what the cuteless needs to be abused? A different way.

I found our latest topic. Not a modern-nighter. Favorite book. Oh, what is it?

It's my favorite book that our topic's in here. I didn't even notice. There's a picture of it. There it is.

He's not a great cute place. But in here, that's one of the top things that it mentions is that the gentleman was raped by an incubus and then shoved into a fireplace. It's one of the stories that they talked about in here. That's very pleasant.

No, it just gets worse, doesn't it? Yeah, that's not nice. Yeah. Okay.

So, it says it's on intersection. Did we talk about that in intersection of the lay lines? Did we talk about it just being on one? This states it's in an intersection.

No, I think Raven did. It's in the intersection. There are two that were in intersection there. I think so.

And that tells you right there that it's going to be even more charged. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, we get buildings and it's like, okay, this building is on the middle of this barn has a ghost or something upstairs. This building, it's large for a building that's on the house and you're told that it's not enormous.

I mean, we still have one, two, three, four, five rooms to talk about. I mean, every individual room in this house has its own different story. So, the next room is called the room of the bishop and it says, Warming signs and biblical passages seem to go hand in hand. The most haunted room in this inn is on the first floor.

It's called the Bishop's Room. And they figure, and I say they, the owners, ghost hunters that have been there, they figure that there's no fewer than nine entities in the Bishop's Room. So, one of the first ones is a friendly ghost. It's actually a small, Cavalier King Charles dog.

They say that they often see it in the corner of the room. There's the spirit of a dark monk. Some bishops and nuns are also seen and felt. A lot of people think that maybe this was the room where a lot of devil worshiping took place.

People that have been in this room claim that they have been lifted by something unseen and thrown across the room. The bed tends to levitate, which would be a little off-putting if you're just spending the night there. The screams of a man are heard. This one actually says that the man that the screams of the man that you're in this room, they believe that he was killed because his head was pushed into the fireplace.

I don't know if it's the same story, different story. So, thousands of years I'm sure more than one person was killed with fire in this building. Well, interesting to hear multiple people talking about getting dragged out of the bed too. Right.

So, there's a spade of the new woman in this room. She's a little different. She appears from a ceiling hanging upside down by her legs, which is a little disturbing. It's a little different.

A little different from the moon ghost. There's also a woman's centurion who appears on horseback and rides through the walls. And this happened once while there were two plumbers working in there, and it obviously scared the absolute soul out of them. They left and didn't come back.

Guests have also seen strange mists forming in further eyes and her giggles and screams of children in this room. I think the car appears to me is going in and seeing a lady hanging from the ceiling upside down. It makes me know why. And the party says, I don't know what I want to know why.

A Roman on horseback, it surprised me. How'd he say cool? Heh heh heh. Do you feel the story?

Just wait five minutes and you'll see anything in there. It sounds like... Pretty much. Pretty much.

So, let's move to the attic. And just in case you wondered, it is also haunted. Things that they hear up there, they say they hear sounds of something heavy being dragged. Um, and this might explain to him the hanging upside down woman.

Supposed to be one of the former owner of the tenant, who was murdered in the attic by being hall. Um, and this was the room that Karen Humphrey has used as a bedroom for a few days before she sent something on out. And it was attic. You can't go all the way to the back because the floor is pretty unstable by the thousand years.

Yeah, after a thousand years it even has a floor. Of course it's ceiling. Alright, so we're going to move to the kitchen. Um, so an 18 year old man entered this room one day, um, during a ghost hunt.

And he was for... he says he was thrown very forcefully against a wall. Um, and the same thing actually happened to Mr. Humphrey's.

Um, so a young couple ran from the kitchen, just completely panicked because they saw the spirit of a woman come up from the kitchen floor. And they said that later a woman and her baby were found buried at the same spot where this couple said that they saw a woman rise up out of the floor. And which is something, I didn't find a story of who this woman and her baby were, but it does sound like it's different than the children that were killed in the pagan rituals. So behind the bar that kind of is a joint of the kitchen, there's another young woman that's buried there.

And she presented herself to Carolyn, the owner's daughter, um, several times, and actually spoke to Carolyn, told her her name was Elizabeth, and that she had been murdered by a highman. And then there's a space between the roof that was used as a hiding place by two highman. And they may have been the ones that murdered this woman that was there. They may have come in, she may have been a tenant or a resident of some sort, and killed and buried her.

Does this burial ground, like, actually under the house itself or just on the grounds outside of the house, or do we know? I think it's under. I don't know. So actually, physically under the structure.

Yes. Wow. Yeah, that'll add to it. The kitchen was an attack room for the former stables that had been there.

In its history, you know, people had gone in with the divination rods and found an old well beneath the floorboards. A deep pit where murder victims were dumped. You just wonder if there's an ad in the paper. If you murdered someone recently, if so, please call.

We have a pit for you. I don't know. Maybe it's just known. Hey, there's a really cool pit that rams in.

The area that was around this well was one of the areas where there were nightly disturbances, and one of the first places where the heart face first moved in that they noticed activity and noises and just disturbances. It made it to the point that Mr. Humphrey has actually put a cross over the top of the well mouth, and then the disturbances there kind of died down. He's probably put crosses all over this property, it sounds like.

I know, right? Everything. He's a man. He's a man.

He's handled and crosses. Yeah, but the interesting thing is even though he's got these crosses everywhere, it sounds like it's just kind of dulled it. Well, after a thousand years, the spirits will just say, yeah, yeah, another cross. You know?

That's like I'm across this and facing. Yeah, exactly. They've been there since, you know, some of those spirits maybe since before Christianity, so who knows? The cross may not even have any meaning for them.

So there is a barn there. It's an 18th century barn, so it's quite a bit newer. They say it's haunted by a seven foot tall dark figure. This figure is violent.

He is aggressive towards a man, but he tends to favor a certain type of female. His shadow appears in the doorway of the barn, almost like it's protecting something. Not like a stance of this place is mine or anything, but almost like he's watching over. So he's aggressive, but protected at the same time.

He's always been a barn. Was it purpose built as a barn? Do we know? It doesn't say.

I would guess so because it's just from the 18th century. It's a lot more recent compared to the actual inn. So my guess is... So like 200 years old, so 300 years old, so it's recent.

Yeah. That was brand spanking new. Yeah, really? No, it seems to me like it's a barn probably built there.

So people could put their horses up for the night and park their carriages and stuff. It's got a big protector. Yes. Sounds like.

I wouldn't know. I couldn't really find anything of a certain type of female. What certain type of female? Like a big bizened?

It didn't say what type was it? It was a tall thing. They were like waifu women. They didn't like women that had a few too many cookies.

I don't know. I didn't really go into what type. If you know what type, well, it's not because I'm super interested. Yes.

So as far as the ancient ramen today, Chad mentioned that John died in 2017, and we talked about his daughter Caroline taking over his legacy and keeping it going. And ghost hunters and people interested in the paranormal are still welcome to go, even though they don't have it open just as a regular bed and breakfast. What'd you guys do? You bet.

Yeah, I mean... I'm totally in there. If I'm in England, we're spending the night. Yeah.

I would go, but not with the intentions of sleeping, but with the intentions of putting up equipment and investigating. Absolutely. No, there's not maybe no sleeping. I would be setting up equipment and cameras and...

Yeah. And I would stay for more than one night because there's a lot of rooms to be abandoned. It's so cute. It's so cute.

It's so cute. You get it. You get it. I actually have some accounts of people who have gone there as ghost hunters, and I find this quite interesting.

Some stay overnight while some have left through the windows. One lady named Beverly said, I loved it. It was on my back at least, and I wasn't disappointed. A fellow named Ben, who I'm very jealous of, says, I love it there.

It's my favorite location and down the road for me. If it was down the road for me, I would be there every week. One visitor said, I've been there on numerous occasions. Some nights have been quiet and a few nights have been amazing.

We've got internet on venues that we have gone to several times. There's time, so we've gone and there's nothing. And you're kind of bored and you hope that you at least get a shadow figure in the corner of your eye. And then there's...

I wasn't going to go to the family tree. There was one night I went, and we actually left early because there was nothing going on. And then we had nights at the family tree where the whole team literally left the building screaming around across the street. So...

I get it. It turns on the moons of the ghosts. Again, Amanda said, on one occasion I was in the witches room and saw a large black shadow, and the person I was with was pushed. The table lamp in the room was knocked over.

I've seen a lot of unexplained things there. Is that the room with the wolf in it? Is that the wolf spirit? I read about a wolf or a dog.

I think so. So there's two dog ghosts, one of them was in the witches room and one was in the bishops room. The American paranormal team of those adventures visited the inn. And in their stay they cut a demonic growl.

They got shadowy figures that ran out of the bishops room. They got worms in a number of EVPs. And another group that went in, the paranormal group said, I find it's always been very active there. The energy changes in each room and you feel like you're being watched constantly.

And you said that during an investigation? Mm-hmm. Yep. Wow.

We talked about this a little bit, but it says the most notable spirit is the witch that was executed, the one that was accused is a witch. There'd be some anger there. Yes. Even though she's fairly tame, it does say that she will physically harm visitors by scratching them.

It's like, if she's one of the nice ones and all she does is scratch you, you know, how bad are the other ones? She's actually been recorded though. And when you do get recordings of her, she's usually taunting the people that are investigating by laughing. She has been recorded as saying, I'm special.

But if you listen really close, you can actually hear that she has just a hint of an English accent, which is interesting. The other one that I didn't claim, or they didn't mention necessarily what she was in, but she's called the High Priestess, and apparently she's very scary. People have reported to being woken up in the middle of the night by women wearing white, they describe it as white religious clothing. So not just a cloak, but something that makes them think that's a religious thing, looking down on them.

Her arms are raised in the air and she's chanting in some strange language. So you almost wonder if she was the one involved in the pagan ritualistic. That's what I was thinking. So there's a fellow who's the Reverend John Yates, retired former Bishop of Glaukister.

He's said to have called the ancient ram the most evil place I have ever had in this fortune to visit. And he said that after attempting an exorcism which failed. And locals will cross over the street rather than walk past the ancient ram in at night. So all of that just makes me want to go to it even more.

Yep, I agree. So more trip. Yeah, let's go. Jan, do you have a bucket list for us?

Yeah, I do have a bucket list. I was looking for some interesting things. And one of the things I'd like to go to is in Hartford, Connecticut. Connecticut is not the ancient ram in.

It's a little more than that. It's from the 1870s, 1874. It's Mark Twain's home in Hartford, Connecticut. It's a museum.

It's also got haunted background. There's a lot of activity that goes on there that they've had over the years. I just need to be a really fascinating place to go and see. Well, from the historical literary part of Mark Twain, it's the same in Clemence home.

Of course, that's where Mark Twain was, depending on where Sami Clemence is. And his wife and they lived there for a number of years. And then there were some financial problems with the country and they moved further low. And then they never came back.

But they were there for quite a few years. And he wrote most of his famous literary books, Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer. A lot of those at that home. Sami mentioned that it was Mark Twain's house.

I told Lake, so I did tell me it was in Missouri. And you said it was in Connecticut. I thought, what? The cabin was already his boyhood home.

This was the home that he built as an adult. And I know that author... And so it's a gorgeous home old. It's really neat looking home.

It includes some pictures in the YouTube video of it. But yeah, Tiffany. Fitt, versions and lass. And it's just very, very classic.

But very different than a lot of the other homes. I mean, it's 1870s, but it doesn't look like other homes. And it's got a known paranormal history. Wow.
